The Adirondack Guide Boat is hand crafted by Richard Norman. Each guide boat has the classic look, feel, and performance of the traditional guide boats. Your Adirondack Guide Boat will have a strong laminated rib construction, and a smooth wood-strip fiberglass hall with all the accessories of the traditional guide boat.

The Oswegatchie Guide-boat is a reproduction of the Virginia built in 1905 and in the collection of the Adirondack Museum. Laminated ribs are spaced 5 and a quarter inches apart to produce an extremely rigid hull. A 16 guide boat is built with 31 pairs of ribs.
